Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneshwar

The Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar is one of the six new Indian Institutes of Technology established by the MHRD, Government of India[1].

The classes for current academic session are currently being held at IIT Kharagpur, which has been designated as the mentor IIT for looking after the incubation activities of the new IIT in Bhubaneswar. The academic session in IIT Bhubaneswar commenced from August 2008. Prof. Madhusudan Chakrabarti is the present director of IIT Bhubaneswar since 2009, succeeding acting director, Prof. Damodar Acharya.
